In this episode, Noel Salas reviews the JS Black Baron 2.1. He meets up with Brent Riley in Oceanside, California at the JS U.S. headquarters to get the ins and outs of what was behind the design of the new Black Baron 2.1 -- one of the newest "twins" in the JS lineup. This special surfboard falls somewhere between the OG Black Baron, which was a favorite of Noel's and JS's first twin fin, and a small wave groveler. The center box was added, so you can change the fin set ups and customize how you want the board to feel underfoot. Noel went for a 5'6 for that punchy beach break and a 5'5 for his wave pool board. He says he had no problem linking turns with his Surf n' Show Twin Plus Trailer fin set up. The tapered rail engages and is a bit more high performance than the original. Noel and Brent dive deeper on the surfboard contours, the special H-Fi EPS construction and more. Ian Wooly Macpherson describes the Black Baron 2.1 as super-fast with excellent drive and hold. Asa Cascavilla gives some tips on how to ride this board, Noel shares the best fin set ups in both Futures and FCS twins. Enjoy!
